Women's March Netherlands is looking for new volunteer team members. Not just to help organize the next march, but to make sure our followers are aware of the latest developments in the rights, proper treatment and recognition of all women throughout the year.

Are you interested in becoming our new business leader, communication manager, designer, event producer, programme compiler or volunteer coordinator? Then read on.

Business leader

  • Contributes to the writing of the multi-year policy plan, budget and project plans;
  • Provides revenue for the organization. For example through fundraising, subsidies and partnerships;
  • Develop new activities and collaborations with your production and communication colleagues;
  • Drafts agreements with partners, suppliers and employees;
  • Thinks along about the presentation, programming and other parts of the organization;
  • Together with the general manager, you are responsible for making the day-to-day decisions and following the strategy of the foundation.

Average hours: 6 per week, including a team meeting on Monday evening.

Communication Manager

  • Devises and plans suitable content for our social media channels (together with supporting volunteers);
  • Set up a newsletter and fill it quarterly;
  • Writes texts for our website;
  • Thinks along about suitable media partners and ambassadors;
  • Prepare press releases and maintain contact with journalists;
  • Helps manage the promotion team;
  • Thinks along about points for improvement within the organization in the field of communication, but also program, collaborations and events.

Not necessary, but very nice: knowledge of/experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Adwords and social media advertising.

Average hours: 8 per week, including a team meeting on Monday evening.

Event producer

  • Creates and monitors plans, (production) budgets and scenarios;
  • Ensures a positive experience for both guests/speakers and the demonstrators;
  • Ensures well-maintained event locations that meet all conditions, including accessibility;
  • Maintains contact and makes agreements with the police, municipality, suppliers, etc.
  • Directs the production team;
  • Thinks along about points for improvement within the organization in the field of production, program, collaborations and events in general.

Average hours: 4 per week, including a team meeting on Monday evening.

Please note: the above positions are long-term volunteer work. Being available on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 March 2022 is a must.

Introductory meetings are held with June ten Have and Corina Markodimitraki on Wednesdays. Ideally, the new team members will start immediately, but no later than the beginning of January.
